About
A small, free tool for one good rule
The 60-30-10 rule is a simple way to balance color: one color covers most of the space, a second supports it, and an accent adds the spark. Decorators use it for rooms, stylists use it for outfits, and designers use it for brands.
Most examples online show the rule with three equal squares. This tool draws the colors at their real proportions, on a room, an outfit or plain bars, and measures the result so you can trust what you see. You can also start from a photo of a room, a fabric or a dress and see how its colors already split.
How it works
- Everything runs in your browser. Photos you load are read on your device and never uploaded.
- Your palette is saved in this browser only, so it is still there when you come back. A share link carries the three hex codes in the address.
- LRV numbers are estimates worked out from the screen color. Paint makers publish the measured LRV of each paint, and colors on screen never match paint or fabric exactly, so always check a real sample.
- The 24 starter palettes are original combinations with hex codes. They are not tied to any paint brand.
